Teddy Eddie was created by three enthusiastic mums,
who also happen to be founders of language schools, methodologists and teachers of English at the same time.
Welcome!
We are pleased to introduce our very own teddy bear, known as Teddy Eddie. He’s quite a playful bear, and sleeps in a smelly sock. He has encouraged thousands of children to start their English language learning adventure with him. We searched for a long time for a method of teaching preschool-aged children English that would satisfy our high expectations as foreign language specialists, language school managers, and mothers.
As English language methodologists who are passionate about what we do, we have always wanted to take children seriously. We believe very firmly that they have great potential and are able to achieve a lot.
As real mums of young kids we know very well what our children need. For years we have been observing how the child’s world is changing and we know exactly what little kids get excited about these days.
As language school owners and managers, we know that a successful teaching approach must go well beyond purchasing a set of study materials, hiring good teachers, and implementing an efficient system of school administration.
Needless to say, we couldn’t find one teaching programme that would meet all our requirements. So … we resolved to create one ourselves! Naturally, we needed lots of help from a team of great people – designers, musicians, language consultants, methodology advisers, and above all our own children, who proved to be the most brutally sincere reviewers of all our early drafts, activities, and lesson techniques. This is how the Teddy Eddie method, with its four comprehensive study levels, was born.
After a very extensive piloting period in our own language schools, we finally decided to send Eddie out into the world. The method became available under licence and was adopted in towns and cities all around Poland. We are in good relations with all our partner schools and together we make a great big Teddy Eddie family. It’s incredibly satisfying to see a lesson being conducted at the other end of Poland, where the kids are having fun, are truly engaged, and are making visible progress, just as they do in our own schools. Soon Teddy Eddie will be available for language schools in other countries as well.

Meet Teddy Eddie’s three mums
At first the most severe critics, and in the end the biggest fans of Teddy Eddie
Ultimately the children of the method’s authors – Kuba, Alicja, Zuzia, and Aleks have proved to be the most severe reviewers. It is thanks to them that Teddy Eddie has become so incredibly successful.Teddy Eddie is cool for young children and for ones who are a bit older like me. I liked the songs and doing the exercises in the books. And the funny pictures. I was sad when I grew up and I couldn’t come to the class with Eddie any longer. Luckily, I have a younger brother and I can organize Teddy Eddie lessons for him at home.
I liked the secret words and stories because they were funny. The coolest thing was when I could tell stories in my own way. My favourite story is Funny Restaurant, because in it there is a snake who dives into the soup.
Teddy Eddie is cool and funny. I would like to have him at home. He always hides somewhere when we come and look for him. When we misbehave, he hides in his sock, and when we sing nicely he gives us kisses or stamps. I like it the most when he has some candies for us in his sock. I really like the song about ducklings and the one about a spider, and quizzes, and doing magic, and telling children what to do.
In Teddy Eddie I like the funny stories the most. My favourite ones are Crazy Man, the one about the alien, Meak, and about the hamster, Bernie. It’s nice that during a lesson we sit on the carpet and the teacher thinks of something new every moment, for example, collecting pictures or showing us what we are going to listen to.
